Version 1.2, released 2009-12-28

• Now supports Internet Explorer 6! Thereby, it is compatible with Lightroom under Windows when Internet Explorer is left at version 6, since Lightroom 2.x on an XP installation always renders web galleries using Internet Explorer, even if another browser is installed. (It is quite common that people may have the latest version of Firefox, but Internet Explorer is left at version 6 and that's what Lightroom will use to render html content inside Lightroom.)

  This also widens the audience of your web gallery: visitors using Internet Explorer 6 will see the web gallery rendered the same way as in Internet Explorer 7.

• New Feature: When the Collection Description is left empty, the two dotted lines above/below the description are automatically removed, and the empty space is reduced. (If you experiment with this feature, make sure that you force Lightroom to reload the page to visually see the change; normally, this is done from the menu 'Web > Reload', but on Windows you often need to click a photo or do some other change to really force it to reload.)

• Now supports Internet Explorer 7! Thereby, it is compatible with Lightroom under Windows, since Lightroom 2.x on an XP installation always renders web galleries using Internet Explorer 7 even if Internet Explorer 8 or another browser is installed. (Internet Explorer 6, however, is not fully supported.)
• The resulting html galleries validate 100% clean with the HTML 4.01 transitional document type (http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd).
• Fixed a small glitch in the shadow at the lower left corner, as seen in Firefox and Internet Explorer 8. (Safari never had the glitch.)
• Increased the shadows about 2 pixels.
• Fixed an issue where the image would be displaced (moved) a couple of pixels when you toggle "Add Drop Shadows to Photos" on and off.
• Made Internet Explorer 7 (and thereby the Lightroom/Windows internal rendering) to respond to the setting "Add Drop Shadows to Photos" such that a small shadow is added/removed when the setting is toggled. This shadow is a "hard" shadow (black) as opposed to the soft "real" shadow that is rendered in all other browsers, including Internet Explorer 8. On Mac, the toggling of that setting is directly seen in Lightroom as soft shadows turning on/off.
• Fixed a bug where the setting "Show Cell Numbers" wasn't effective.
• Reduced the font for the cell numbers by 2 pixels and moved them 1 pixel towards the corner; this was done so that these numbers would not intrude so much into large square thumb images. (Only relevant if you chose to enable "Show Cell Numbers").
• Minor visual adjustments.

Version 1.0, released 2009-11-21

• Initial release, but without full support for Internet Explorer 6 or 7, which also means that the support for the plug-in in a Windows installation was limited, since Lightroom always uses Internet Explorer 6 or 7 internally to render web content in Windows.

Known issues

• In the Lightroom web module, there is a "Preview" panel intended for an iconized view of the template, if such a view is provided. This plug-in does not provide such a preview/icon.
• Under Image info, a bug in Lightroom 2.x prevents the setting for Caption to automatically update the page. But if you click Reload in the Web menu, or go the another photo, it will reload with visible changes. The settings for Headline and Reference, however, are always updated dynamically as they should.
• When you leave the Collection Description empty, the two dotted lines above/below the description should automatically be removed, but to make Lightroom show this you may need to force Lightroom to reload the page; normally, this is done from the menu 'Web > Reload', but on Windows you often need to click a photo or do some other change to really force it to reload.
• In the Identity Plate, it may be necessary to add a couple of spaces at the left in order to make the plate centered. This is because Lightroom creates a PNG image with left-aligned content and a lot of space to the right.
